NHS Health Checks

If you are aged 40 to 74 and do not already have diabetes, stroke, heart and kidney disease or are not being treated for high blood pressure or high cholesterol levels you are eligible for a free NHS Health Check.  Even if you are feeling well, an NHS Health Check can help you to lower your chance of developing health problems in the future.

During your health check, which takes about 30 minutes, you’ll be asked some simple questions about your family history and any medication you’re taking.  Your blood pressure and pulse will be checked and your height, weight, age, sex and ethnicity will be recorded.  Your results will be discussed with you and you will be given personalised advice on how to lower your risk and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

If you were asked to have a blood test before your check, the results will also be discussed with you.

Antenatal Clinic

Wednesday 9.30am to 1.15pm (last bookable appointment) and Friday New Pregnant Ladies 9.30am - 12.30pm. GPs/midwives attend at both.

Child Immunisations

Wednesday 9.30 to 11.30am (Wordsley Green)

Health Visitor Baby Clinic

Wednesday 9.30 to 11.20am at Wordsley Green and Tuesday 9.30am to 11.50am at Kingswinford Medical Practice on Standhills Road.

Child Health Surveillance Services

Any appropriate doctor on request.

Long Term Conditions Clinics

These clinics are for Asthma, Diabetes, Hypertension, COPD, CKD, stroke and Transient Ischemic Attack, Atrial fibrillation, Heart Disease, Learning Disabilities

Minor Surgery (Wordsley Green)

Drs Sinha and Kanhaiya (referral required) carry out minor surgical procedures at the surgery by appointment. The doctors will be happy to advise you on this.

Over 75 Clinic (Wordsley Green)

Within any available clinic space.

Contraceptive Care (Wordsley Green)

Provided by all doctors during normal surgeries.

Contraceptive Implants (Wordsley Green)

By appointment with Dr Sinha.

Intra-uterine Contraceptive Device Fittings (Wordsley Green)

By appointment with Dr Sinha.

Physiotherapy (Wordsley Green)

Provided by Mrs J. Birch and Mr A Chamberlain following referral by the GP.


Reception can advise day and time, following GP referral only.

Blood Tests

Blood tests can be carried out at the following locations:

Corbett Outpatient Centre
Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm

Guest Outpatients Centre
Monday - Friday 8.00am - 1.00pm

Russells Hall Hospital
Monday - Friday : 8:00am - 4.30pm
Saturday: 8.00am - 12.30pm

The above clinics may have to be changed or cancelled periodically due to holidays/sickness.

Some local GP surgeries also provide blood test services, ask Reception for further details. 

Community Vasectomy Service

By appointment with Dr Kanhaiya. Referral required. 
Dr Kanhaiya is a principal trainer in vasectomy.
